{"id":3442,"date":"2013-06-22T10:06:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-22T10:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/viaf.org.mt\/?p=3442"},"modified":"2022-04-01T10:07:49","modified_gmt":"2022-04-01T10:07:49","slug":"two-great-violin-sonatas-being-performed-this-evening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/viaf.org.mt\/two-great-violin-sonatas-being-performed-this-evening\/","title":{"rendered":"Two great Violin Sonatas being performed this evening!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This evening sees the participation of\u00a0Emil Huckle (violin) and\u00a0Olga J\u00f8rgensen (pianoforte) in a concert comprising two of the greatest violin sonatas in the repertoire, namely, Ravel\u2019s\u00a0<em>Sonata in G Major no. 2<\/em>\u00a0and Beethoven\u2019s lovely\u00a0<em>A Major Sonata,\u00a0<\/em>better known as the\u00a0<em>Kreutzer, op. 47 no. 9.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two performers are the winners of this year\u2019s\u00a0<em>Norway National Competition for Youths<\/em>, having scored brilliantly in the final concert of the Competition. They have been lined up for numerous concerts as part of their prize, one of which is participation in our Festival. Later on this year, Olga is scheduled to perform Rachmaninov\u2019s difficult and beautiful\u00a0<em>Piano Concerto no. 2<\/em>\u00a0in Oslo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can realize, every evening we are offering diverse, varied concerts that surely attract the taste of a wide range of musicians and lay people. We are having a fantastic response from the audience, which is a massive encouragement for us organizers to always provide more and better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See you this evening at Aula Mgr. G.
