More European Baroque music this evening!
This evening sees the second in a series of five concerts of Baroque music being performed. Organ scholar Benedict Lewis-Smith will be performing on the Baroque organ generously built and donated by Oxford scholar Richard Vendome, and on the harpsichord in a concert that will take us through various styles of Baroque interpretation, namely, English, Italian, Spanish and Flemish.
Works by Purcell, Handel, Gabrieli, Buxtehude, Correa de Arauxo, Frescobaldi, Froberger, Haydn and, of course, Bach, will be performed. Benedict Lewis-Smith will also speak about the different styles and works on the programme!
The concert will be held at Aula Mgr G. Farrugia and, as always, starts at 8pm. Make sure you are there!!
