Born in 1998, Giovanni Bertolazzi started to play piano when he was 10, supported by his family who is particularly interested in culture, art and music. He recently graduated with top honours from the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory, Venice, with prof. Massimo Somenzi. He furthered postgraduate studies at the Rachmaninov Academy, Catania, with Prof. Epifanio Comis.

He has won more than 30 prizes in national and international piano competitions in Italy and abroad: among others, first prizes at the 4th Troisdorf International Piano Competition, Germany, the Alion Baltic International Competition 2015, Tallinn (Estonia), and the VII Siegfried Weishaupt Piano Competition, Ochsenhausen (Germany).

He has performed in important places and for many musical associations in Italy and abroad: from the Musical Weeks at Olimpic Theatre, Vicenza, to Teatro La Fenice, Venice, from Stadthalle Trosidorf (Germany) to Victoria International Arts Festival, Gozo-Malta, from Kadrioru Kunstimuuseum, Tallinn (Estonia) to the Rose Wagner Performing Center Arts, Salt Lake City (Utah).

In March 2017 he made his debut with Philharmonic Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice, Venice, performing Liszt’s Piano Concerto no. 2 S. 125 under the direction of Dini Ciacci.
