Jacob Portelli is proficient on all string instruments, with Distinction Performing Diplomas to his name. Of all string instruments, Jacob feels most affinity with the harp.  Dexterous on both Celtic and Concert Grand Pedal Harps, he has been awarded an LRSM with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music, London, and is currently also mastering the Baroque Harp through private tuition. On the local platform, Jacob is regularly engaged to perform in prestigious events such as State Dinners and national gala events presided by the President of Malta and the Prime Minister, as well as many corporate events. On a daily basis he is featured as the harpist playing during Mass that is broadcast on TV from the Archbishop’s Curia. His career has seen him performing abroad, most notably in Turin, and in London he performed for the late H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, during a Commonwealth event at Marlborough House.
